Here you can download the latest firmware for the Retro Adapter.
First, disconnect any connectors you have attached. To update
the firmware, you need
to put the Retro Adapter in Update Mode by doing any of the following while plugging
in the USB cable:
- Attach the Update Dongle (available in the online shop)
- Hold down fire button 1 on an Atari / Commodore style joystick
- Hold down A on a Sega Master System or Megadrive (Genesis) gamepad
- Hold down A on a Neo Geo joystick/gamepad
The first time you do this, your computer will re-detect the Retro Adapter in Update Mode.
You can let go of the button you were holding now.
Once the computer has finished, double click on update.bat.
Once the update is finished the Retro Adapter will automatically go back into normal operating
mode, and you can start using it as normal.
Some people find firmware updates scary, but don't worry - even if something goes wrong, you
can always start the update process again. Update Mode is always available, and cannot be
disabled by a failed update.
